About 

DeLee Grant spends her time between painting (oil, acrylic, gouache) and fine art photography.  In recent years, she has been concentrating on the painting side of her artistic endeavours. She discovered her passion for painting “en plein air” (in open air) while attending a plein air workshop in 2007 at the world renown Emma Lake Kenderdine Campus. She continued to hone her skills by training with internationally acclaimed artists in Canada, U.S., France and Italy. Her pursuit of excellence is being rewarded. In 2016, she received an "Award of Merit" at the Escalante Canyons Art Festival (Utah) and 3rd Place in the Arches National Park Quick Draw, Plein Air Moab (Utah) where she completed against artists from all over the U.S. In 2019, she received the Award of Excellence at the Escalante Canyons Art Festival (Utah).

Although landscapes are a favourite subject, she also enjoys painting still life, florals, birds and animals. She has an affinity for backroads and wide open spaces which stems from spending most of her life on a Saskatchewan farm.

She loves to teach painting and share what she has learned with others.

Her photographs and paintings can be found in many private collections throughout Canada and U.S. as well as public collections.

She is currently represented by the LOBBY GALLERY (Regina Performing Arts Centre, Regina, Sask.) As well, she is a member of the Regina Art Collective (RAC), Brushworks Art Guild, Art Gallery of Regina, CARFAC and is a juried member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council.
